This blog is not meant to be an academic or authoritative history of Chinese music, just some examples of what I like from my own collection. I thought it’d be nice to share some of these obscure records…to my knowledge, none of them have been re-released in the digital age.

I play fiddle in the Squirrelly Stringband and bouzouki in the Disciples of Markos. I collect Greek, Chinese and some other weird 78 rpm records. I’ve also been a photographer, filmmaker and graphic designer.

Please more, more, more!!! I have been searching for this music and though I have found Chinese music, it was not this, opera from the 20’s. This is just what I want!! Thank you so much for posting…MORE PLEASE!!!!!!
